Description

Description

VOICES project brings together international teams of young volunteers from at least four EU countries to support refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers in Europe, focusing on social inclusion, skills development, and well-being. Over 24 months, the project will involve young volunteers in two-month interventions, some of whom will be from refugee backgrounds and fewer opportunities. Activities will take place in Polykastro, Northern Greece, near the Nea Kavala refugee camp, continuing the efforts to strengthen the long-term impact on both beneficiaries and the local community. As part of a humanitarian response to individuals fleeing armed conflicts and other victims of natural or man-made disasters, VOices prioritizes non-formal education, digital literacy, language learning, and employability skills training to foster positive learning experiences, resilience and integration. The project also places a strong emphasis on mental health and psycho-social support, recognizing the vulnerabilities of refugees, particularly women and children. Beyond supporting refugees, VOICES empowers young volunteers, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, by equipping them with valuable skills and encouraging personal, educational, and professional growth. Implemented by an expanded consortium of experienced organizations, the project enhances European solidarity through intercultural dialogue, community engagement, and active youth participation, ensuring a meaningful and lasting impact.
