Description | VolvoCE and Volvo Penta are helping Ukrainian grain exporter Nibulon to make waterways suitable for cargo transportation and relieve pressure from public roads. Nibulon is dredging Ukraine’s Dnipro river to make it suitable for cargo transportation, aiming to increase its annual grain turnover by one million tons in 2019. The project involves dredging thousands of tons of sand and silt from the riverbed using a Volvo EC750E excavator and a dredging vessel called Mykolaivets. The excavated material is used as fertiliser for crops in farmland around Ukraine. |
