Information Department of water resources-MH - II has come up with Waghur Project with a ticket size of 1758.51 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Tender Award and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project is included under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, PMKSY-AIBP and prioritized in 2016 for early completion. The project envisages the following main components- [i] A 1080 m long Earthen Dam with maximum height of 39.50m including 297.25 m long gate spillway with 123.45 m non-overflow [N.O.F.] section on either side of the spillway [ii] Left bank main canal of 16.85 km. length having discharge capacity of 12.625 m3/sec [iii] Right bank main canal of 24.00 km. length having discharge capacity of 2.59 m3/sec. During inclusion of Project under PMKSY-AIBP in 2016 Balance Cost of the Project was Rs 1037.20 crore Eligible Central Assistance was Rs 246.15 crore CA released since 2016 till October 2021- 195.02 crore State Share released through NABARD under LTIF till October 2021- Rs 203.56 crore Physical progress July 2023- 89.57 percentage Financial Progress July 2023- 79.69 percentage Ultimate Irrigation Potential is 38570 Ha Irrigation Potential created till July 2023- 32057 Ha Projected Date of Completion- June 2025
