WAKENE FOOD COMPLEX P.L.C was established in 2011 for producing wheat flour products with the capacity of producing 124 tons per day of wheat flour in Burayio city of the Oromia region of Ethiopia. later, the company diversified into other businesses such as production of Instant noodles. Currently, it is the only factory producing instant noodles in the country and rest of the demand is met by imports. The company plans to expand and double the production , for which infrastructure in terms of the building has already been built. The company is looking for investment through foreign direct investment with minority equity stake from a foreign partner for the establishment of the additional production facility, with an additional a total investment of around 1,400,000 Dollars.
