The core aspect of the project is to implement cross-border dialogue, participation and interaction through a journey across Mediterranean borders where transnational cooperation is required to develop a participative, human-site specific approach to creative process, useful in everyday life to increase a collaborative European citizenship attitude. In each location where the artistic team will work, a residency and an interdisciplinary performance would become an occasion to meet local communities, collecting ideas and speculation about a question: What is beyond the Wall? Overcoming the separation from the others, uncertainties and difficulties experienced during this pandemic. In a time that required a strong resilience and creative attitude to face difficulties, the dimension of the wall / what’s beyond it has a propulsive energy that supports action, cooperation and solidarity in a new dimension of rediscovered sociability, which overcomes a present that has forced us to renounce the public dimension of human contact, essentials for any cultural activity and democratic societies. The project intends to increase cultural accessibility for a wide range of people involved through a residence’s time (4 workshops, 4 performances) and an online question shared to collect and re-elaborates the most imaginative answers. This participative approach connects the digital shift with face to face interaction recognizing the pivotal role of the body as a tool for listening, dialogue and participation, in remote or in presence contexts. Wall brings attention to its environmental sustainability by choosing public transport for the entire journey, length 6 weeks. A Glocal model for cooperation, a green way for artists and artworks circulation and a performance format will be shared allowing a wide range of participation and interaction during the project implementation and after (storyboard, Podcast, Documentary, Performance-format will join about 50.000 peoples).
