Wanamaker Building Loft Apartment Conversion

TF Cornerstone, in partnership with Alterra Property Group, plans to redevelop the historic Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia into a mixed-use building featuring 600 loft-style apartments ranging from studios to three-bedroom units. The project involves converting the largely vacant office space of the former department store while retaining some office floors and retail spaces, including the storied Crystal Tea Room as an event space. The redevelopment aims to preserve the building's historic features, including the Wanamaker Organ and the Grand Court as a public space, and will benefit from flexible zoning, a 10-year property tax abatement, and national historic tax credits.
