Warehouse and Industrial Development Approvals in New Jersey

under review/approval process

New Jersey municipalities are increasingly imposing stricter conditions on warehouse and industrial development approvals to address quality-of-life concerns such as truck traffic, noise pollution, and road impacts. These conditions include truck curfews, route restrictions, road and infrastructure upgrades, and noise controls. The trend is a response to strong industrial demand driven by warehousing, logistics, and data centers, amid limited land availability and public pushback. Developers are advised to engage early with municipalities to navigate the intensified site plan approval process.
