Description | Washington County Board of Supervisors is considering a contract to purchase 85 acres of land near Meadowview to develop a new industrial park. The land is strategically located near Exit 22 between Interstate 81 and Lee Highway, making it attractive for industrial development. The purchase price is $2.5 million. The site currently is zoned for agricultural use and would need to be rezoned to light industrial. The county plans to ensure sewer and water service can be extended to the site and obtain approval for an entrance off Enterprise Road. The purchase and rezoning process includes public hearings and is planned to close around February 16, 2026. |
