Description | This project is meant to improve environment sustainability by improving solid waste management and promoting renewable energy in Kenya. This will be a green field project with a new location for the disposal facility. It will reduce the amount of waste that needs to go to the dumpsite. During the waste studies we shall review the characteristics of the waste with the aim of developing a rehabilitation plan for the current dump site. This will involve installing a Biogas +CHP plant mainly because it utilises the largest fraction of the MSW, i.e. organic waste that constitutes 60-70% of the MSW.
