Waste management PPP project in Epirus

The facility in Epirus will manage about 150 thousand tons of waste annually, including all municipal solid waste generated in the entire administrative area of Epirus.The private partners will be selected through the competitive dialogue process and will undertake the design, financing, construction, maintenance, facility management and operation of the respective waste treatment facility for 27 years.The tendering procedures allow all available technologies that meet the requirements of environmental targets, European and national legislation. Main selection criterion of the contractor will be the lower fee to be paid by the citizens, while achieving all environmental objectives. It is foreseen that the projects will be co-financed by EU funds.
