Description
Description | Saint John Water has three wastewater treatment plants (Milledgeville, Lancaster, and Eastern WWTPs) located within the City, which are critical components of Saint John Water’s infrastructure, providing safe disposal of municipal wastewater to thousands of residents. The Spruce Lake Pumping Station is another critical piece of infrastructure utilized by Saint John Water to provide potable water to the residents located on the West Side of the City. There are eight buildings on the mentioned sites that are in need of roof replacements. Water infiltration has been noted leading to several patches or repairs being completed in the past. These roofs are at or beyond the end of their expected service life and require replacement to prevent further damage to the building interiors and process equipment. The proposed project is to replace approximately 23,000 square feet of existing roofs at the above-listed facilities. The new roofing will be selected based on efficiency and longevity. The most current technologies and environmental standards will be incorporated into this project, which will involve the removal and replacement of the existing roofing. This project will restore the building envelope at these facilities and prevent water damage to these critical pieces of infrastructure. This project involves the renewal of existing pieces of municipal wastewater and water infrastructure. |
