Description

Description

The aim of this project is to control wastewater overflows in the Anse-au-Foulon area, along the St. Lawrence River, from the combined sewer systems north of Champlain Boulevard. It includes the construction of a 17,000 m3 retention reservoir, including a pumping station for wastewater discharge, the installation of an emergency overflow and more than 2,000 metres of sewer pipes. More specifically, the work involves the installation of control valves with capacities ranging from 28 l/sec to 158 l/sec, and storm sewer pipes with diameters ranging from 300 mm to 525 mm over a length of around 73 m for the Ravin, Coulonge, Lemoine and Beaulieu sectors. Work will also be carried out to the east and west of the Anse-au-Foulon reservoir, including the installation of interceptor pipes ranging from 1,200 mm to 2,100 mm in diameter over a length of around 775 m, and pressure drainage pipes over a length of 1,600 m. The project also calls for the installation of a 900 mm-diameter magnetic flowmeter and a communication system to the flowmeter stations.
