Description | VA Tech Wabag secured a consortium order from the United Water Supply Company of Georgia for constructing a 19 million litres per day wastewater treatment plant in Kutaisi, Georgia. The project includes demolition of the existing plant, construction of a new facility, installation of an effluent pipeline to the River Rioni, and incorporates advanced treatment technologies such as mechanical and biological processes, nutrient removal, UV disinfection, sludge treatment systems, solar sludge drying, odour control systems, and pumping infrastructure. The facility is designed for scalability to expand to 56 MLD in the future. The project is funded by the European Investment Bank. |
