Description

Description

The project includes replacing mechanical and electrical equipment at the end of its design life, adding a backup generator, and converting the existing WWTP (wastewater treatment plant) process to a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR). This includes: the replacement of the existing headworks screen, screenings washer compactor, and 3 blowers; the addition of a 2-tank SBR, a backup generator, a supplementary UV disinfection bank and one sludge dewatering press channel; and the conversion of the existing bioreactor to an aerated sludge digester. The project will increase the capacity to treat and manage wastewater by providing a WWTP in good condition with sufficient capacity to support the growth of the Town’s population for the next 40 years.
