Description

The project consists of supply and installation of 969 meters of 200 mm sewer main, 265 meters of 100 mm sanitary service lines, 28 sanitary services on Lower Cove Road and Route 440 and 420 meters of 200 mm water line and 11 water services on Route 440 in the Town of McIver’s. The project will also include the supply and installation of 1 sewage pumping station and 190 meters of sewage force main pipe. The project will also include a 12 kW single phase generator required under provincial regulations to operate the lift station during major storm events, power outages etc. The project aims to provide residents in the area with a municipal water and sewer system meeting today’s regulations and specifications. The project will eliminate private sanitary sewer and well systems which are: not designed to today’s specifications, deteriorated and malfunctioning. The sewage effluent from this phase will be pumped into a municipal collection system under phase 2 which discharges into a secondary treatment system meeting today’s environmental regulations and specifications.
