Description

The objective of this TC is to consolidate and expand the WF model throughout LAC, having proved it can lead to successful results. The four key objectives of this TC are: i) to improve and consolidate existing Funds, by developing a green infrastructure and climate adaptation investment pipeline that will help scaling-up and improving the Funds' operations to guarantee their long-term technical and financial sustainability; ii) to expand the WF model to additional urban watersheds that would benefit from this model, including urban watershed in mid-size cities that are being assisted by the ESCI, as well as watersheds affected by water stress due to climate impacts; iii) to promote policy change and an enabling regulatory environment (national and/or local) to unlock public and private funding for land/water conservation activities, including the mobilization of climate adaptation finance; and iv) to systematize the model's methodology through knowledge, capacity building and dissemination tools and platforms.
