Description

Description

The FC module builds on the previous projects WRMP I-VI and is fundamentally open in design. It includes components for improving drinking water supply and treatment as well as developing groundwater resources. Measures to improve wastewater disposal, water reuse or expand the national water transport system are not currently planned, but could still be taken into account in the course of further preparation of the investment measures. In order to repair damage to the water supply infrastructure caused by the Covid-19 crisis, urgently needed spare parts are also being procured for the Jordanian Water Authority. The FC module fits into the fields of action of urban water management and adaptation to climate change of the DC program Management of Water Resources in Jordan. The total cost of WRMP VII is estimated at EUR 50.0 million. The project is financed from FC funds with a low-interest loan of EUR 50 million.
