Description
Description | The project consists of linear assets in streets in the City of Mount Pearl that have poor asphalt condition, and poor underground systems (Water, Sanitary and Storm) with the highest risk of decreasing levels of service to residents and increasing maintenance costs. These have been identified as high priority projects over the last 5-year period. No action will result in risks of lower level of service and possible failure of services as well as escalating maintenance costs, impacting approximately 308 residents and one church. The project aims for full replacement of all linear assets for Spruce Ave (Croucher to Commander section), Birch Avenue, Roosevelt Avenue (Donovan street - Ruth Ave section); the replacement of linear assets (Asphalt, Storm, Sanitary and sidewalk) on Carroll Drive; and structural water lining of the existing water main on Billard Avenue in the City of Mount Pearl. Will result in higher level of service regarding asphalt ride quality, accessibility of sidewalks, increased capacity to accommodate climate change and safe drinking water. |
