Water Street Infrastructure Rehabilitation - Phase 5 (Waldegrave Street & Sanitary Sewer CIPP Lining)

The project consists of infrastructure rehabilitation along Water Street in the City of St. John’s. The scope of the project includes sewer separation and infrastructure rehabilitation at the intersection of Waldegrave Street/Water Street and the lining (CIPP - Cured-in-place-pipe) of the inverted egg shaped brick sewer from Waldegrave Street to Job’s Cove. The project aims to provide adequate capacity in the sewer mains while reducing the occurrences of storm water being treated at the wastewater treatment plant and the number of occurrences of untreated sewer being discharged into St. John’s Harbour. It also aims to reduce the operating costs associated with aging infrastructure.
