Description | The principal components of the project comprise: (a) the expansion of the water supply and New Providence Island by means of: (i) a water conservation program; (ii) the importation of water from well-fields on Andros Island in vessels operating between Morgans Bluff Harbor on Andros Island and Arawak Cay on New Providence Island; (iii) the rehabilitation of the existing flash distillation plant at Blue Hills; and (iv) the improvement of the water distribution, storage and well-field operation systems on New Providence Island. (b) The rehabilitation of the existing sanitary sewerage system in the City of Nassau; (c) the construction of a new sewer line to Prince George's Wharf in Nassau Harbor; and (d) technical assistance for the training unit to be established by the Borrower. |
