Water Supply Repair at Guantánamo Bay Naval Base

under repair

The project involves addressing a water supply failure at the Guantánamo Bay naval base, which disrupted water service to the Migrant Operations Center (MOC) and affected housing for migrants. The water supply is sourced from a treatment facility connected by an underwater pipeline that suffered structural damage. Temporary measures include relocating migrants and personnel to areas with potable water and transporting water by trucks and ferry. Larger-capacity trucks and a water purification unit are en route to restore normal operations. A full assessment and potential long-term repairs of the underwater pipeline are planned.
