Description
Description | The town of Valle de Abdalajís has been supplied water via tanker trucks by Adif since the town's aquifer was punctured during the construction of the Cordoba-Malaga high-speed line tunnels. Adif has borne the cost of this service, which has been very expensive, and has carried out costly operations to create a stable supply, including projects for drinking and irrigation water, wastewater treatment plant installation, road upgrades, and archaeological recovery. However, a National High Court ruling has established that Adif is no longer responsible for the water supply service, and the town hall is expected to appeal this decision. The town hall lacks the resources to undertake a definitive infrastructure project, and other institutions may need to intervene. |
