Water System Expansion - Phase 3

The project consists of the testing, completion and commissioning of an existing test well in the new East Memramcook aquifer region to serve as a new production well. The project will also provide water to residences within the Village limits in a currently un-serviced area. Servicing these residences will involve the construction of a booster station and a water storage tank in order to provide sufficient water pressure to residents. This expansion will provide a secure water source that meets Canadian drinking water standards to an additional 175 users. The scope of construction also includes the installation of approximately 3.4 km of high pressure watermain associated with the water storage tank, and approximately 5.4 km of water distribution main to service the residents, and 280 meters of transmission pipe. The project aims to expand the capacity of the system as well as using a more sustainable water source. The project will benefit the community by increasing access to potable water.
