Description

Description

This project will provide the residents of the Inuit Community Governemtn of Nain with a secure supply of clean, safe drinking water from the new Trouser Lake Water Supply Infrastructure. The scope of work includes installation of two new pressure reducing valve (PRV) chambers, the connection of the water line to Sands Bank Road and the by pass of the existing pumphouse. The By Pass of the existing pumphouse will allow for the entire Community of Nain to utilize the Trouser Lake Water System, the scope of work will then cover the decommission of the existing system. In addition, the project will also include the reconfiguration of several concrete underground thaw access chambers, through which water and sewer mains currently run, to reroute the sewer mains away from water mains to mitigate the risk of cross-contamination.
