Water Systems Upgrades of part of the Saint-Joseph and Desjardins streets

The Project consists of restoring part of the Saint-Joseph and Desjardins streets drinking water, wastewater and storm water systems in the Town of Matane, Quebec. The scope of the project includes reversing the slope of a section of the sewer pipe and extending this pipe in order to divide the flow of wastewater from the streets upstream over 580 metres. A storm water pipe will also be added to separate the sewer system over 482 metres and the drinking water pipe will be renewed and extended in order to complete the system over 563 metres. This work will benefit approximately 1,706 people. This Project aims to maintain and upgrade drinking water distribution infrastructure as well as wastewater collection and storm water conveyance infrastructure.
