Description
Description | This project involves the construction/installation/implementation of a new potable water treatment system to improve water quality for all residents to meet the Canadian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines. The Town commissioned a report on the existing system under the project and found that the costs for the proposed water treatment plant were higher than expected due to water usage being 4- 5 times the national average. Logic dictated that the system be upgraded before the WTP is constructed at a later date, through a to-be-determined future project. Additional work includes rehabilitation of the transmission main and associated equipment. |
