Water Use Comparison of Golf Courses and Data Centers

ongoing analysis

This project involves analyzing and comparing the water consumption of golf courses and data centers in the United States. Golf courses use water primarily for irrigation, while data centers use water mainly for cooling servers. The study highlights that nationally, golf courses use more water than data centers, with golf courses using about 2.08 billion gallons per day and data centers using about 449 million gallons per day. Water use varies by facility size, location, and technology used, such as evaporative cooling in data centers and irrigation methods in golf courses.
