Description | The Waterberg platinum group metals project is advancing as a mechanised, shallow, decline access mine producing platinum, palladium, rhodium, gold, copper, and nickel. Engineering and planning work is underway for initial road access, construction, water supply, infrastructure, essential site facilities, first phase accommodation lodge, and site construction power supply from Eskom. The project is assessing commercial alternatives for mine development financing and concentrate offtake, including discussions with South African smelter operators and evaluation of smelting and base metal refining options in Saudi Arabia. The project also considers establishing a matte furnace in South Africa for beneficiation, with further processing in Saudi Arabia. |
