Waterford AI Data Center Project

cancelled

A planned 1.5 million square foot AI data center on the site of Millstone Power Station in Waterford, Connecticut, developed by NE Edge. The project involved building two two-story buildings and a switchyard on approximately 55 acres of the Millstone property, with a host municipality fee agreement providing $231 million in lieu of taxes over 30 years. The project faced regulatory challenges and failed to file a building permit application within the required timeframe, leading to the termination of the agreement and likely cancellation of the project.
