Description
Description | The Waterfront East LRT is a transit project to provide a streetcar connection from Union Station along Queens Quay East and down Cherry Street into the Port Lands in Toronto. The project has finally found funding with a combined commitment of $3 billion from three levels of government. The TTC, city hall, and Waterfront Toronto will be responsible for designing, building, and delivering the project, not Metrolinx. The project aims to be built on time and on budget, contrasting with previous Metrolinx projects that have experienced delays and cost overruns. |
