Description | US independent power producer Linea Energy has closed project debt financing for its 172-MWdc Watertown solar project in Michigan. The utility-scale solar farm, located in Sanilac County, is currently under construction and is expected to begin operations in April 2027, supplying electricity into the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) market. The financing package includes a construction-to-term loan, a tax equity bridge loan and a letter of credit facility. The deal was led by Santander Corporate & Investment Banking, with participation from Societe Generale, Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale and Truist Bank. Linea has also secured a 25-year power purchase agreement with Consumers Energy for the solar farm’s output. |
