Description | This project involves the expansion of the renewables portfolio of the Nigerian WATT Renewables Corporation (WATT) in Nigeria. This initiative includes the construction of new solar pv plants with a total generated capacity of 8MW, as well as the construction of 14.3MWh of storage capacity through end-to-end services. This specific initiative will reduce of 3 million liters of diesel consumption per year in Nigeria, which will cut down 7,039 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually. The total project cost is $13m and it is provided with a loan from the Empower New Energy investor.
