A major landslide occurred at the project site near Meenakshi Bridge at Kalladi, Wayanad, causing several workers to be feared trapped and damaging vehicles used to ferry employees. Rescue operations are underway with deployment of police and National Disaster Response Force teams. The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority reported at least five injuries and no deaths so far. The Chief Minister of Kerala held an emergency meeting to coordinate rescue efforts. |
