Description | The Wayanad tunnel road project in Kalladi, Kerala, managed by Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd (KRCL) as SPV, experienced a landslip caused by heavy rain. An internal investigation has been launched by a three-member expert committee to determine the reasons for the landslip. The landslide occurred 240 meters away from the excavated area and 110 meters above the tunnel crown, exerting pressure on the downward slopes of the cut-and-cover area where slope protection works were done as per approved designs. |
