Description | The 60 MW Suplu 1, Suplu 2 and Wayu wind farm reached financial closure on March 27 2015. This BOO project worth of US$353.6 million would entail the development of a greenfield 60MW wind project to be located in Nakorn (Nakhon) Ratchasima Province, Thailand. The project company was Wind Energy Development, wholly owned subsidiary of Gunkul Engineering. Financing comprised a US$114.57 million (THB3.73 billion) term loan and US$81 million letter of credit facility arranged by Siam Commercial Bank. Power China Zhoungnan Engineering was the EPC contractor. The project was expected to be operational in 2016. An equity infusion of 158 million occurred in April 2015. For Wayu Wind Farm project, PPA was signed on 23 November 2011 Legal adviser to lender was Linklaters and legal counsel to the consortium was Watson Farley & Williams. |
