We are not strangers

The objective of the project „We are not strangers“ is to strengthen the cooperation between nations in the context of the current events in Europe. It means the will of the partners to face the current problems, discuss them and search for solutions. The attending nations of Europe will become closer to each other. The emphasis will be put on listening to everyone´s opinions. The project will deal with the themes linked to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conflict in Ukraine and its impacts, the future of Europe and the fight against euroscepticism. These issues will be present in discussions, workshops and lectures of the 3-days-long event. Besides, there will be presentations of cultural and linguistic diversity of Europe. Recently, we have come to the knowledge the discrimination is the mother of violence. The project will strive to become a lighthouse in the context of solidarity and mutual sympathy. We want to underline that European nations are not strangers to each other. The project will be dedicated to the public in its broader sense. It will engage young people as well as the elderly – those who remember the division of the post-war world. At the same time, the project will connect four European nations. The people from Slovakia, Czechia, Hungary, and Romania will no more be strangers. The Europe of nations will be transformed into the Europe of unity. The project will strive to accomplish the following goals: 1) to build bridges between nations with help of culture and mutual listening 2) to call for the discussions concerning the current themes and problems, reaching for solutions 3) to exchange experience with measures applied in the crises 4) to create space for linking individuals from diverse parts of Europe.
