Embracing and monitoring the future generation, as well as helping to educate and catch up with their disadvantaged children has always been important for Újrónafö. For this reason, and based on the positive application experience of the surrounding villages in the “CERV-CITIZENS-TOWN-TT - Twinning” program, the management of Újrónafő would like to take advantage of this great application opportunity. This application for the population of the cross-border area was initiated by the Municipality of Újrónafő as a lead partner, maintaining good relations with it's Slovak partner Hodos and it's Czech partner Vacenovice. The aim of the project is to make better use of the rich cultural heritage of the partner region by developing the cultural repertoire of the cities, maintaining their services and their cultures, exchanging ideas between citizens of partner cities, strengthening their tolerance, creating opportunities for them, developing a sense of belonging to Europe and a European identity and last but not least focus on the EU priorities. It also aims to raise the citizen's awareness of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, to contribute to a higher turnout in European elections and to stand as a candidate,also to raise awareness of discrimination, racism and its consequences. The objectives of the project are closely linked to the future of the EU. Participants would like to learn about the cornerstones and main objectives of the EU by explaining concepts such as Euroscepticism, self-reliance, solidarity between generations and between states, gender differences, racism and discrimination.
