We bring EU to the citizens

The aim of the project is to bring the EU and its citizens closer together. This is the response to the division of citizens into Eurosceptics and the EU supporters. In the current crisis – the war in Ukraine – this is in the centre of attention in every participating country. Therefore, we plan to prevent such division, and we would like to see Slovaks, Hungarians and Czechs advocating the EU proudly. The name of the project also expresses such aim. We plan to bring the EU closer to its citizens, to let them know its principles and the great benefits of the membership in it, to make them think about the EU more positively. This will be developed by the presentation of the EU benefits, various discussed themes of the EU, presented attitude of the EU to the COVID-19 pandemic, war in Ukraine and migrant crisis, as well as to the concept of togetherness of Europe. Presentations will be followed by debates on these important issues. Citizens will have an opportunity to express what EU they imagine, what it should do for them, what it should be dedicated to. Not only adults will participate in such debates, but also the young. Due to this, a stronger feeling of responsibility for the European project in the future will be developed in them. Furthermore, the project focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic impacts on communities, since they were highly affected during the last two years. Now is the time to provide them with opportunities to connect with one another within one mutual event, meet, discuss, and overcome prejudices. This will be achieved also by the presentation of the cultural diversity of the present nations. The project will be implemented as a single event and last for three days.
