"The EWoS programme in 2022 and 2023 offers a wide range of opportunities for all age groups to enjoy sports, to join sport organisations and fitness clubs as a way of being active in various localities through Bulgaria. In 2022 and 2023 we keep following our goal to reach out more people and to transfer the messages of the Week to as many Bulgarians as possible and to encourage them to physical activity and active living. The Week in 2022 and 2023 generates new activities (satellite events, extended tours, collaborations with different initiatives, competitions, outdoor events, etc.) and also builds on already existing successful initiatives in the national, regional and local context. The NCB includes in the EWoS two-year programme some events already well-known by the general population and others reflecting the ideas of new EU initiatives like the European Commission’s two-year campaign #HealthyLifestyle4All. The entire #BeActive campaign will be focused, targeting 2 million people in Bulgaria to all groups of society without any discrimination based on sex, racial or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age or sexual orientation. Furthermore, as in the previous years, the social inclusion through sport of disadvantaged groups and the needs of disabled persons to #BeActive will be integrated in the sporting events. The main idea to encourage physical activity especially in the post pandemic situation and promote healthy lifestyles in general is embedded in the name of the EWoS 2022 project “We can do this together, let’s try to BeActive “. The expected impact is to increase with up to 10-15% the number of visitors and participators in all of the events; diversification of the media channels and maximum coverage in all media types, as use of the partner`s channels; to involve any group of people as athletes, children, families with or without children, with pets, employees, partners, etc. "
