The aim of the project is to further develop the respect and understanding of our common habitat, which is formed in the area of the Bavarian-Czech border by the Green Belt of Europe. The main goal of the project is to make the area of the Green Belt accessible to visitors by means of new outdoor areas in Bärnau and Tachov. The outdoor areas convey different information about the Green Belt in a popular scientific way and bring a long-term insight into the need for the preservation and protection of the Green Belt into the subconscious of the inhabitants of the region. An additional objective is to develop teaching and educational materials in order to get to know the cross-border region together, while at the same time distributing these tools to schools. The added value is a common application of these instruments, strengthening Bavarian-Czech relations at school level. In a broader context, the current and future generations of both nations are gradually stabilising a shared responsibility and commitment to protect European and global natural resources. In the area of the German-Czech border, continue to help to explore and find the value of the Green Band as a consequence of the historical and cultural landscape of Europe. Planned project activities: 1) Establishment of new objects on the theme of natural and cultural heritage in the area of the Green Belt: 1a) Establishment of the REVIS outdoor area: Construction of a mineral concrete path, 5 steps with flora and fauna of the Green Belt and 3 information boards and a realistic wolf statue — symbol of wild nature, construction of a small exposition of a ruined village, placement of 2 benches and a waste bin 1b) Construction of the outdoor area Bärnau: Construction of a water biotope on the river Waldnaab, creation of a reconnection of the area to the river in the form of an old arm with refuge space for lurks, construction of a log path and a geo-biotope as a refuge space for reptiles and lurches, placement of information boards on the subject of green ribbon. Both freely accessible grounds fulfil a recreational and teaching function. 2) activities in the field of awareness raising and promotion of natural and cultural heritage in the Green Belt: 2a) 2x Bavarian-Czech meeting of regional development actors (1x in BY, 1 x in BY), 2b) each 10 x programme for schools from CZ and BY, 2c) 2 x joint programme for BY and CZ schools 3) Informative printing products: 3a) Wall card e.g. Th.
