Description

In the project a big emphasis will be put on actualizing the research work of Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály during the folk music and dance performances. These will be a series of events that give the citizens of Subotica and Kecskemét an opportunity to move, enrich, get to know each other and build respect and tolerance. Further aim of these events is to improve the cultural tourism of the region by giving the visitors the best of local cultural uniqueness. The project main objective is to promote cooperation activities in the field of culture by providing children, young generations, ethnical minorities the opportunity to participate in the preservation of folk of music and dance. The following three groups were identified in both countries as target groups: - Folk art experts: folk dancers, singers and orchestras/choirs. - The main target groups of the project are: children, young generations, families, elderly people, national minorities, people with disabilities, disadvantaged people. Some activities target specific target groups. - In a wider sense, the following also belong to the target group of the project: tourists visiting festivals or other cultural events, the cultural and economic actors of the region, actors of cultural life. Project will consist of the following activities: - folk dance expository. - presentation of Bartók’s collection. - seminar. - world music concert. - Hungarian-Serbian dance house. - dance and playhouse for children. - workshops. - family day. - toy repertory programs. - folk dance camps. - co production premiers. - Serbian folk music lessons. By the realization of the action, this project brings a significant contribution to the long-term aim of the CBC Programme, by strengthening connections between the communities of the two neighboring countries, especially in terms of children, younger generations, ethnical minorities.
