Description
Description | AdventHealth received approval to develop a new 67-bed hospital in Buncombe County, North Carolina. The project faced legal challenges from Mission Health but has now been cleared to proceed after the North Carolina Supreme Court declined to hear the case. The hospital is planned to be built on 25 acres of land purchased for $7.5 million in Weaverville. There is also a pending appeal for a 26-bed expansion, which if approved, would bring the total beds to 93 in one facility. Additionally, there is a separate certificate of need process for an expansion to 222 beds costing over $250 million, with completion expected in January 2030. |
