Description | GDOT Project PI# 0020358 will provide 29 additional truck parking spaces for a total of 58 spaces. The 29 additional truck parking spaces are to be developed to the west of the existing parking lot. This would require tree removal, fill, and a possible retaining wall to bring the area up to the current parking lot grade. Proposed spaces will be 20 feet wide with 74-foot bays and 60-degree parking angle. Design criteria follow those recommended in the Truck Parking Development Handbook, USDOT/FHWA (September 2022). The proposed design layout attached as an appendix to this report was validated using the turning radii for the WB-67, which is the design vehicle for the proposed project. The project length is approximately 0.2 miles. |
