Weldon Water Treatment Plant Replacement Project

Planned

Halifax County and the town of Weldon are collaborating on a new water treatment plant to replace the existing aging facility. The project involves conducting a preliminary engineering report to assess feasibility, costs, environmental impacts, and regulatory compliance. The new plant will have a minimum capacity of 2 million gallons per day and an estimated construction cost of $48 million. The town will own and operate the plant, with the county having reserved capacity and sharing costs accordingly.
