Description

Description

The project aims to design and support the school of the future by enhancing educational settings, empowering teachers and principals, and promoting quality, equity, and sustainable practices in education, and it has 5 specific objectives: (SO1) To contribute to policy and social recognition of the profile of school principals, emphasizing their pivotal role in driving innovation and enhancing quality in education. (SO2) To endow school principals with competences and create opportunities to envision schools as thriving learning communities and create regenerative learning spaces. (SO3) To endow pre-service and in-service teachers with competences and resources to address teaching and learning challenges, effectively manage multicultural classrooms, foster school well-being, and enhance students' literacy skills. (SO4) To advance teaching and learning by adopting innovative methodologies, promoting literacy, leveraging AI, digital tools, and sustainable practices while enhancing well-being and resilience in schools. (SO5) To strengthen collaboration by fostering lifelong peer learning and networking among principals, in-service teachers, and higher-education students across Europe. With a duration of 36, the consortium plans to promote 49 national and international events, engaging 500 participants, including principals, in-service and pre-service teachers, students and policymakers, inside and outside the consortium. Three main results will be developed, implemented and provided as part of the Living Smart Schools academy: 1. Learning and Creative Leadership Programme, addressed to principals 2. In-service Teachers’ Training Programme, addressed to in-service teachers 3. Teachers’ Pre-Induction Programme, addressed to pre-service teachers (higher-education students) In the 3rd year of the project, the consortium will prepare a Living Smart Schools sustainability and long-term action plan (D6.2), fostering the sustainability and exploitation of the project.
