Wells Area Improvement Project

The project involves upgrades at the Wells Regional Transportation Center including installation of new passenger platforms, structural steel framework for elevator towers, and an elevated pedestrian bridge. It is part of a broader effort to expand and enhance Amtrak Downeaster service in southern Maine, including a six-mile extension of rail infrastructure and expanded station facilities to improve operational efficiency and add an additional Downeaster round-trip between Brunswick and Wells.
