Description | WeRide, a Chinese autonomous driving technology company, is entering the Slovakian market by launching the country's first national-level commercial autonomous driving project in partnership with Elevate Slovakia. The project includes deploying a full suite of autonomous vehicles such as robotaxis, Robobus, Robovan, and Robosweeper for passenger transport, parcel delivery, and municipal sanitation. The initial fleet is scheduled to arrive in spring 2026, with road testing starting in Bratislava in the first half of 2026, and plans to expand testing to other cities and eventually nationwide driverless commercial operations. |
