Wesfarmers and Built Living Offsite Apartment Construction Facility

Wesfarmers is investing $100 million in a facility operated by the joint-venture company Built Living to manufacture modular and precast apartment components. The facility aims to halve the build time of high-rise apartment buildings and reduce building costs by about 20%. It will have the capacity to produce more than 2000 apartments a year and will be located at the Neerabup Automation and Robotics Precinct in Wanneroo, Western Australia. Construction and procurement of specialized manufacturing equipment are forecast to commence in the second half of 2026, with the first manufacturing output targeted for early 2028, subject to approvals.
