Description | Wesley Medical Center plans a $120 million expansion and renovation project starting in 2026, which includes adding 34 inpatient beds, constructing a second helipad, and building a new parking garage. The $55.8 million project involves adding two new floors to the critical care tower, with one floor completed by the end of 2027 to include 34 beds in the intermediate care unit. The second floor will be reserved for future expansion. Additionally, a $65 million parking garage with around 1,350 parking spots will be constructed, increasing parking capacity by more than 460 spots. Construction will begin with demolition of the current parking garage on January 6, 2026, and is expected to take two years, causing significant disruption to traffic and parking on the hospital campus. The project also includes a new atrium lobby and main hospital entrance. |
