Description | The development objective of the Finance for Jobs Project for West Bank and Gaza is to test the effectiveness of selected financial interventions. The project comprises of three components. The first component, entrepreneurship ecosystem matching grant (EE-MG) will finance the EE-MG, a matching grant (cost-sharing) facility targeting early stage investment funds seeking to build a portfolio of investments in start-up and early stage enterprises. The second component, capacity building and lessons learned consists of following three sub-components: (i) building a pipeline of job-focused private investments requiring financial enhancements; (ii) developing the development impact bond (DIB) for skills; and (iii) capacity building to the Palestinian authority (PA). The third component, project management will ensure the overall project implementation, fiduciary, safeguards, monitoring and evaluation (M and E), communications, and technical expertise. |
